Counselling Fees
Most extended health benefits and health care insurance plans (e.g. Blue Cross, Great West Life) cover the cost of individual counselling sessions and skills group when provided by a registered psychologist. Some plans may not cover telephone counselling and restrict coverage to in-person sessions only. Check with your extended health benefits provider for details as each plan is different.
For DBT skills groups, fees are due at the time of group registration. For individual and couples counselling, fees are due at time of session. You will be provided with a receipt so you can submit to your insurance company.
Direct billing is available for RCMP members, Veterans, and their families through Medavie Blue Cross. Direct billing is available for all individuals with Alberta Blue Cross coverage.
Payment plans can be negotiated for individuals without coverage. Foothills Counselling Psychology does not offer sliding fee scales. Contact for more information.
